Memorial Service

Families and Hospice staff members gather in early November each year for the Memorial Service to remember the patients who died while receiving hospice care during the previous year. The timing provides families with added support during what can be a difficult holiday season, allowing them the opportunity to be with others who have experienced similar losses. Area pastors, many of whom also serve as Hospice volunteer chaplains, participate in the service, held at different churches each year.

The most significant part of each year's commemoration occurs when the names of patients who died during the past year are presented, and candles are lit in their memory.
