  John A. Forlines, Jr.— Retired chairman, CEO, and consultant to Bank of Granite Corp. Former member, ABA Communications Council and NC Bankers Assn. board of directors; active since 1954 in NC Bankers Assn. of American Bankers Assn. Caldwell Hospice Foundation, Inc., president and treasurer; board of trustees, Duke Univ., 17 years; currently Trustee Emeritus. Board of trustees, Duke Univ. Mgmnt. Company. Board of Trustees, CCC&TI, 1964-83, first chairperson. Lone Eagle Award, Advantage West, Asheville, 2004; Visionary Leadership Award, Caldwell County Chamber of Commerce, 2004; received John A. NC State Univ., BS in Civil Engineering, 1975; Licensed Professional Engineer in NC and SC. CHPC board member since 1990.
     

James C. Harper, Jr.
  James C. Harper, Jr.— Retired vice-president, First Union Nat’l Bank (now Wachovia). Caldwell County United Way board; Lenoir Kiwanis Club. Trustee, First Presbyterian Church of Lenoir. Davidson College, BS; Emory Univ., MBA. CHPC board member since 1993.
     

Jimmy Hemphill
  Jimmy Hemphill— Retired as exec. vice-president of CCC&TI after 30+ years; helps with fundraising effort for CCC&TI’s foundation. Hudson Town Commission. 2005 “Nine Who Care” Awards, “individual volunteer” finalist; “Colleague of the Year,” CCC&TI; EM Dudley Award at CCC&TI, Hudson Man of the Year; Order of the Long Leaf Pine. UNC-Chapel Hill, BS and MS; add’l studies at UNC-CH, NC State Univ., and Appalachian State Univ. CHPC board member since 1996; previous appointment, 1982-1992. Received 20-year CHPC volunteer recognition at 2006 volunteer banquet.

Previously served The Presbyterian Church of Lowell, NC, for eight years and Bethel Presbyterian Church near Lake Norman for seven years. Banker with First Union National Bank prior to answering call to ministry. Member, Holy Angels, Inc. (Belmont, NC), board of directors; member, Lenoir Rotary Club. Wake Forest University, bachelor’s degree, 1978; Union Theological Seminary, VA, Master of Divinity, 1990. CHPC board member since 2006.
     
Inez Jones   Inez Jones— Retired after forty years in Caldwell County school system, West Caldwell High School asst. principal. CCC&TI trustee; Caldwell County Council for Women member; Lenoir City Council, served one four-year term. LA Dysart Citizenship Award Woman of the Year, 2001; Phi Epsilon Honor Society and Omicron Nu Honor Society member; Lenoir Chamber of Commerce Teacher Scholarship Award, 1977; Terry Sanford Award for Outstanding Teacher in District VII, 1974. Involved in CCC&TI Foundation, Communities in Schools, Caldwell Council on Adolescent Health, Lenoir Rotary Club, Caldwell County Chamber of Commerce. American Univ., Washington, DC, Kogod School of Business. CHPC board member since 2005.
     

Tamra Starnes
  Tamra Starnes— Retired banker, First Union Nat’l Bank (now Wachovia). CCC&TI Foundation fundraising committee member. Cedar Rock Country Club board; Lenoir Service League past-president. Attended Converse College; UNC-Chapel Hill, degree in music. CHPC board member since 1991. Served on Hospice committee for renovation and construction of patient care unit.
